HONOLULU (Island News) — Spill The Tea Café is hosting a youth pride festival on Sunday, June 30, 2024. Kiki Rosario and Deizhanna Kaya-Abad were on Good Morning Hawaii, Saturday to talk why it is so important have safe spaces events for LGBTQ+ Youth.

Kiki Rosario says, “Creating safe spaces and events for LGBTQ + Individuals is crucial for their mental and emotional well-being, providing supportive environments where they can express themselves without fear of judgment or discrimination. These spaces foster a sense of community and belonging, offer protection from violence and harassment, and ensure psychological safety. Additionally, they enhance visibility and representation, serve as platforms for advocacy and education, and allow for cultural and social expression, all of which contribute to a more inclusive and understanding society.”
