State of Origin 2024: Will Ray Warren come out of retirement to commentate on 100th Origin game? [Video]

Legendary commentator Ray Warren has opened up on whether he could be tempted back into the commentary box to cover what would be his 100th State of Origin match this year.

Warren retired in 2021, bringing the curtain down on a career which saw him affectionately dubbed as the ‘Voice of Rugby League’.

When Warren retired from commentating, he had covered an incredible 99 Origin matches while in the booth.

And the veteran caller has now opened up on a potential return in order to reach the 100-game milestone.

“Don’t get me wrong, no one has tempted me really,” Warren told SENQ’s Pure Origin in late April.

“Funnily enough, I think I’d get through an Origin no problem.
