STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Borough President Vito Fossella and the Staten Island EMS Task Force will be hosting their annual EMS Breakfast to kick off National EMS Week in honor of emergency technicians and paramedics.
This event began 30 years ago and will mark Staten Island’s 49th year celebrating National EMS Week.
The ceremony will honor EMTs, paramedics, emergency service instructors, and students for their heroic, life-saving work that has been provided to the Staten Island community when emergency medical attention is needed.
Following the breakfast, Borough President Fossella will present awards to several outstanding emergency medical service heroes who went above and beyond when serving Staten Island.
The breakfast will take place on Monday, May 20 at the Li Greci’s Staaten at 10 a.m on 697 Forest Avenue.
