PEORIA, AZ (AZFamily) — A busy West Valley roadway has reopened after a rollover crash left one person seriously hurt Friday afternoon.
According to Peoria police, two vehicles collided near 71st and Grand avenues around 12:30 p.m., causing one car to roll over. One driver was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Authorities say others involved had minor injuries but didn’t say exactly how many victims.
Grand Avenue was closed in both directions but reopened shortly before 4:30 pm.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area and expect delays. Officers are investigating to see if speed or impairment were factors in the collision.
UPDATE: US 60 (Grand Ave) westbound is now CLOSED in Peoria as well.
