Before graduates received their diplomas and flipped their tassels, they heard from graduate and speaker Rahel Teklu. Rahel spoke about her family’s journey to the States, highlighting her father’s achievements of receiving a Ph.D. in agricultural science after migrating from East Africa which inspired her to not “settle for a life less than what she’s capable of.”
