MISSION, Kan. (KCTV) – Detectives continue to search for the suspect in a domestic violence-related shooting at the Mission Hy-Vee over the weekend.
Mission Police Chief Dan Madden has confirmed to KCTV5 News that around 11:30 p.m. on Friday, April 19, dispatchers received a call that reported shots had been fired at the Hy-Vee on 6600 Martway Rd.
First responders were also told a female victim had been driven to a nearby hospital with an apparent gunshot wound. As of Sunday, police had not received word that her recovery had been hindered.
Chief Madden noted that the incident is related to an ongoing domestic violence investigation and that detectives are still attempting to locate the suspect.
No further information, including the suspect’s identity, has been released.
