A teenage girl suffered critical injuries in a crash in the city of Worcester, authorities said. The crash happened just before 4 p.m. on Monday in the 100 block of Shrewsbury Street. We are told the teenage girl was struck as she tried to cross the street.She was rushed to a nearby hospital. An update on her condition was not immediately available. Worcester police said they spent approximately two hours with an accident reconstruction team at the scene.A gray SUV was towed from the scene. Witnesses told WCVB’s Mary Saladna that a woman behind the wheel of the vehicle called for help, and appeared to be distraught following the crash. No additional information was immediately available.
