A Texas politician said his family was among the victims of Saturday night’s shooting at a Trump rally in western Pa.
Ronny Jackson, representative of the 13th congressional district in Texas, said in an interview with FOX News his nephew was sitting in a “friends and family” section at the rally behind former President Donald Trump when a gunman opened fire.
Jackson, a former White House physician, did not attend the rally himself. He said a bullet grazed his nephew’s neck. His family went to the first-aid tent at the event and saw another rally attendee with a “devastating, critical” wound to the head.
One rally attendee died and two others were critically injured, according to a statement released by the Secret Service.
“They heard the shots and everybody dropped to the ground,” Jackson said. “He was grazed in the neck — a bullet crossed his neck, and he was bleeding.”
