Thankful that majority of Virginians support schools [Video]

In his column (“Don’t believe the hype. Virginians support teachers, books and learning about racism,” Oct. 25), Michael Paul Williams cites a Christopher Newport University Wason Center survey finding that a majority of Virginians are satisfied with their community schools.

I hope someone passes this on to Gov. Glenn Youngkin. In many respects, our governor has served us well, but not when national political hot-button issues are involved and especially not in his one-sided support of those who want good, honest and helpful resources on Virginia’s racial past removed from school curricula and libraries. I’m thankful that a majority of Virginia voters, not just Democratic- or independent-leaning ones, don’t agree with him.
