The Oren Dunn City Museum is holding a backpack drive | News [Video]

TUPELO, Miss (WTVA) – The Oren Dunn City Museum is holding a backpack drive.

The museum is collecting backpacks ahead of the new school year. 

They’re hoping community members will pitch in to help children in need. 

The backpack will be handed over to the Tupelo Public School District to be distributed to the children who need them.

Assistant museum curator, Carlos Diaz, says the backpacks don’t have to be filled with school supplies but it would be nice to have. 

The backpack drive will continue throughout the summer until September 1st.

Donations can be dropped off at the museum during opening hours.

Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
