Eighty years ago, NSF was founded with the primary objective of establishing guidelines for the design and manufacturing of equipment and supplies in a manner that ensures safety. These guidelines, now referred to as ‘The Standards,’ are aimed at facilitating the use of safe materials and ensuring that the end products are easily cleanable. In this webinar, we’ll delve into a brief history of NSF as well as provide a broad overview of the various certifications it offers. This includes certifications for food equipment, ‘Safer Green’ chemicals, and food-grade lubricants. Furthermore, we’ll explore the impact of these standards on hospitality operators, health departments, manufacturers, inventors, and other stakeholders within the industry.
