Thousands of cyclists hit the streets for Colorados Bike to Work Day [Video]

DENVER (KDVR) — Grab your helmet and sunglasses, and bike to work Wednesday.

Thousands of cyclists throughout the Front Range will take over the streets, trails and bike paths in honor of Bike to Work Day.

This is the 34th annual event, and it encourages commuters to swap their cars for their bicycles.

Nearly 300 metro area stations will welcome riders with snacks and swag along their commute, including at Civic Center Park, REI Co-op, Boulder, Denver Zoo and Cherry Creek. You can find stations on the event’s interactive map.

Some stops provide coffee, breakfast and water, and some spots even have a party for your commute home.

At the location near Civic Center Park, there are 18 vendors, and you can receive a bike tune-up and test ride a Lime bike.
