CROMWELL, CT (WFSB) – It’s Travelers Championship week in Cromwell and things are going to be sweltering as the tournament play begins.
Tournament organizers have a detailed plan in cooperation with Trinity Health, to provide emergency medical services to the many thousands of fans who attend the tournament.
They work on this plan months in advance and now with the extreme heat warnings out, the plan is changing as well.
The heat is the hot topic for the tournament this week. The high temps have put the Trinity Health team that runs the medical operations for this event on high alert.
You can expect to see the doctors and staff in those bright yellow shirts to be a full go when it comes to dealing with heat-related medical issues.
