Both drivers arrested for OUI were taken to the Cumberland County Jail.

CUMBERLAND, Maine — Two drivers were arrested on OUI charges in separate incidents at a crash scene Friday night in Cumberland.

Shortly before 10 p.m. Friday, police and fire crews responded to a report of a crash involving injuries on Route 100 near Skillin Road, the Cumberland Police Department said on social media.

The driver of a pickup truck, a 26-year-old Standish man, who had four young children as passengers, pulled out in front of a sedan traveling north on Route 100.

Police said the driver was arrested for operating under the influence, violating conditions of release, and endangering the welfare of children.

One occupant of the sedan that was struck had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Cumberland Fire Department. Both occupants of the sedan were taken to an area hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, according to police.
