Two people die in Fayette, Ohio house fire [Video]

Neighbors who witnessed the tragic fire say it is something they will never forget.

FAYETTE, Ohio — Two people died in a house fire in the village of Fayette on Saturday morning according to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.

The fire, on North Fayette Street, started around 9 a.m.

It’s unclear at this time what started the fire but the State Fire Marshall’s office is involved in the investigation.

The name and ages of the victims is also unknown at this time.

The fire left the small community of about 13-hundred shaken, and neighbors heartbroken.

“I never see anything at all like this, you know, and I hope I don’t have nightmares over it. But it’s a sad, sad situation,” said Michael Slyker, a neighbor of the victims.

He says that despite trying to help there ultimately wasn’t much anyone could do.
