Two people escape house fire with pets in Hemlock early Tuesday | Local [Video]

HEMLOCK, Mich. (WJRT) – Two people and several pets escaped a house fire in the Hemlock area early Tuesday morning.

Fire crews were called to the home in the 16000 block of Doyle Road at around 3:10 a.m. The occupants escaped the residence before fire crews arrived and found smoke.

Firefighters were able to put the fire, which appears to have started in the attic area. No injuries were reported to the residents or firefighters.

Investigators are trying to determine what sparked the fire, but it possibly started from an electrical issue.
