Update: 5 N.J. counties under a heat advisory Friday [Video]

The National Weather Service issued an updated heat advisory at 5:58 a.m. on Thursday valid for Friday between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. for Mercer, Salem, Gloucester, Camden and Burlington counties.

The weather service says, “Heat index values up to 102 degrees expected.”

“Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” comments the weather service.
