Update: 8 N.J. counties under a heat advisory until Wednesday night [Video]

On Wednesday at 2:56 a.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated heat advisory valid for Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. for Somerset, Middlesex, Monmouth, Mercer, Gloucester, Camden, Burlington and Ocean counties.

The weather service comments, “Heat index values up to 100 degrees expected.”

“Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” states the weather service.

• Seek shelter: Opt for an air-conditioned room to stay comfortable.
