UPDATE: Scottsdale homeowner finally reimbursed for flood damage [Video]

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Arizona’s Family has an On Your Side update regarding a Scottsdale homeowner who says a big-name insurance company originally denied his $30,000 claim.

Charlie Cramer filed a claim after a water leak inside his home caused extensive damage, but the insurance company insisted his policy wouldn’t cover it. Then On Your Side got involved, and State Farm had a change of heart.

“We’re glad that we’ve reached the finish line,” Cramer said. “It was a lot bigger struggle than we ever thought it would be.”

In a previous On Your Side report, Cramer explained the problem began when he discovered a pipe had burst near the wet bar in his living room, causing a flood.
