AN urgent recall warning is in place for a cabinet sold by a popular DIY store over “possible amputation” fears.
The Cooke & Lewis Lesina Mirrored Cabinets that was sold by B & Q over the past four years has been recalled by safety bosses.
The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission issued the recall warning for hundreds of Irish customers.
They said: “The risk associated with the product is injuries.
“The bonding of the mirror glass to the door panel may fail causing the mirror to detach and fall resulting in glass shards.
“This can cause injuries including cuts, lacerations and possible amputation.”
The brand is Cooke & Lewis and the model name is Lesina.
The barcode is 5397007165494.
The product was on sale between January 2020 and February 2024.
