Video camera catches getaway after suspected drunk driver slams into VB home [Video]

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A BMW plowed into the living room of a condominium in Virginia Beach early Sunday morning.

Officers received reports of a vehicle accident at 5:05 a.m. in the 4700 block of Kempsville Greens Parkway.

Twisted, splintered, cracked, and contorted, that’s what a BMW sedan, with a suspected drunk driver behind the wheel, did to a condo owned by Dawn Prevette and leased to a single mother. Prevette is grateful the tenant and her son spent the night elsewhere.

“But what she did tell me was that normally she sleeps on the couch down there and a friend had invited her to spend the night.” That single mom, Kelly Carr, shared a picture of the BMW on top of the couch with 10 On Your Side.
