Due to the significant damage, the Virginia Beach Fire Department responded to assess the stability of the building.
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A vehicle slammed into a physical therapy office in Virginia Beach late Wednesday morning, leaving the building with “extensive damage,” according to police.
The crash happened at Atlantic Physical Therapy on First Colonial Road around 10:50 a.m. The Virginia Beach Fire Department (VBFD) said the driver was trying to park when they mistakenly pressed the gas pedal instead of the brake.
Photos 13News Now viewer Amanda Granados shared show an SUV partially inside the building.
Everyone inside the building has evacuated.
Luckily, Virginia Beach police say no one was seriously injured. The driver and their passenger, however, were brought to a hospital with injuries that are considered “minor.”
