Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin defends contraception bill veto [Video]

RICHMOND, Va. — The Biden-Harris presidential campaign is criticizing Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin on the issue of contraceptive rights.

The campaign criticized Youngkin for vetoing a bill that wanted legal protections for people and physicians in cases where they travel from out of state for contraceptive and reproductive health care.

Youngkin weighed in on why exactly he rejected the bill in remarks to 13News Now.

“I strongly support access to contraception and I also believe we can protect access to contraception and protect constitutional rights of individuals,” Young said. “This is not an ‘or’ moment, I think we can do both… and I think the contraception bill went too far.”
