SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) – Everything seems to be so expensive now, including food, utilities, and bigger ticket items like cars, but is there a brighter future in sight? Natalie Sliwa has been driving her pre-owned ten-year-old car for five years.
“It’s been pretty good, like not too many repairs, a few big ones, but nothing bad. I feel like maintenance kind of stuff,” Sliwa said.
Despite being responsible behind the wheel and taking care of her car, she said she saw her insurance double from $250 to $500.
“Why me? I didn’t get into an accident…nothing bad happened. I didn’t get pulled over. I have a good sticker. There’s no reason I should’ve gotten my insurance up so high and it had risen up already before that. It was one-something when I originally started,” Sliwa added.
