West Jordan police respond to domestic violence incident [Video]

WEST JORDAN, Utah — The West Jordan Police Department responded to a domestic violence incident at an apartment complex on Tuesday night.

Officers were dispatched to the area near 6800 South Redwood Road around 7 p.m., according to Sgt. Andrew Hercules. 

Police learned the suspect had barricaded themself inside the apartment, possibly with a gun. Residents were ordered to evacuate as a SWAT team arrived at the apartment building.

The suspect remained in the apartment building while police tried to make contact with them. At this time, police have not confirmed that they made contact with the suspect.
