What you can do if you’re in a mobile home during a Tornado Warning | News [Video]

TULSA, Okla. — The FOX23 Severe Weather Team is tracking severe storms on Monday in Green Country.

Storms are especially dangerous if you live in a mobile home.

Mingo RV Park near I-244 and North Mingo Road has a storm shelter on site.

FOX23 spoke to the manager there who said the safety of their residents is one of the most important things.

For people who live in a mobile home park that doesn’t have an available storm shelter, Tulsa Emergency Management Agency Executive Director Joe Kralicek said there are several things you can do.

“Look at trying to relocate temporarily to a more secure structure within the foundation that is less likely to get blown over or get wind born itself. If you have friends that don’t reside within a manufactured home, who have a stick-build home, something with a foundation, ask if you can maybe come over and …
