Why Was Travis Scott Arrested in Paris? A History of the Rapper’s Legal Troubles [Video]

Travis Scott was arrested twice in 2024 after a slew of legal issues in previous years.

The “Topia Twins” rapper was arrested in August 2024 at a hotel in Paris after allegedly getting into a fight with his bodyguard, per French police. The arrest came two months after he was arrested in Florida on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing on a property after a warning.

While Scott paid the bond for those charges and was released shortly after, the Florida incident wasn’t the first time the rapper had been arrested. He previously ran into legal trouble at several of his performances and nightclubs.

In 2021, Scott was sued for $1 million by an attendee of his Astroworld Festival that occurred in November of that year in which 10 people died and hundreds more were injured. However, in June 2023, a grand jury decided against indicting Scott, stating that he was not responsible for the tragedy.
