Youth Leadership Lauderdale Group gives fundraiser check to United Way [Video]

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) – A group of four high school students from Youth Leadership Lauderdale got to present A big check today to United Way.

The check was the result of an Easter fundraiser the group put together last month that allowed the community to come out and take pictures with the easter bunny the day before the holiday.

The fundraiser raised $1,301 and all of that money went toward helping United Way continue to give back to the community.

“I’ve worked with Kym for about a year now and just working with her. It’s always been a pleasure. Her mission with education, promoting health and just working with women, children and men throughout East Mississippi is just a great project and the great mission. And I know that the money that we brought in would be going to a good cause.” said Youth Leadership Lauderdale member Haley Graham.
