ROKEBY, Neb. (KOLN) – The National Weather Service confirmed Tuesday that a tornado touched down in southwest Lancaster County overnight.
Right in the path of that tornado, the owner of Watchman Stables, Heather Buss, in Rokeby is cleaning up the mess the twister left behind.
And thankfully for her, like so many other times storms roll through neighbors were helping neighbors. While she was grateful for the help, she was still emotional thinking about the damage.
“This is my baby, I built it from the ground up and it’s definitely hard to see,” said Buss.
She said, the tornado tore through in an S shape and destroyed numerous parts of the property.
The steel fencing was bent to the point it’s impossible to bend it back to the way it should be.
The wood fencing is completely destroyed and so is the electrical fencing.
