Former NC A&T football star signs a deal with the New York Jets [Video]

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Former NC A&T football star, Tarik Cohen has signed a one-year deal with the New York Jets. 

According to CBS News, Cohen was released by the Carolina Panthers earlier this month after suffering a string of serious injuries.

Cohen suffered a torn ACL, MCL, and a leg fracture that has kept him off the field since 2020. 

He was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. After several injuries, the Bears released Cohen in 2022.

Cohen signed with the Carolina Panthers’ practice squad in January but never appeared in a game. 

The football star will now have a chance to make the Jets’ roster as a reserve running back and special teamer.
