Manchester High School student death | Daryus Bryant [Video]

MERIWETHER COUNTY, Ga. — The community at Manchester High School is mourning the death of one of its students, according to Meriwether County Schools on Sunday.

Daryus Bryant was identified as the deceased student and described as someone who “excelled both in athletics and academics.” 

“His ultimate passing will undoubtedly cause concern and raise questions within our community, but we remain committed to supporting each other during this challenging time,” the school district noted in a Facebook post.

According to a police report from Columbus, Georgia, officers responded to Macon Road on Saturday concerning “shots fired.”

There, officers found two vehicles with bullet holes and two people suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to the hospital. It was there that Bryant succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
