Oregon group hosts hand-cycling event for disabled Oregonians | Top Stories [Video]

PHOENIX, Ore. – Oregon Spinal Cord Injury Connection held a hand cycling day on Saturday, bringing community members with spinal cord injuries out to Blue Heron park for a day of activity and community.

The event had hand cycles available for those who did not have one– and provided support in transferring the riders from their chairs to the bikes. Many came out, not even riding hand cycles but enjoying the community. West Livaudais, the OSCIC executive director says the event is an excuse to instill a sense of community within others in the Rogue Valley with spinal cord injuries.
