Shane Walsh provides injury update after limping off in Galway’s dramatic All-Ireland quarter-final win over Dublin [Video]

SHANE WALSH will do all in his power to be fit for Galway’s All-Ireland last-four date with Donegal in two weeks’ time.

The Tribe attacker suffered ankle and hamstring injuries in Saturday’s pulsating quarter-final win over Dublin and had to be replaced by Tomo Culhane on 65 minutes.

Prior to that, the Kilmacud wizard lit up Croke Park with seven scores as Pádraic Joyce’s men stunned the Sky Blues in a one-point victory.

It was the Tribe’s first Championship win over the Dubs since 1934, and Galway did it the hard way, having lost skipper Seán Kelly to a hamstring injury after 22 minutes.

But Walsh has every faith in the medical team to heal Galway’s walking wounded as they chase a first Sam Maguire since 2001.
