Student Athlete of the Week: Sinclaire Hart – [Video]

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) — Soccer is so often referred to as the beautiful game and Sinclaire Hart sees its beauty in being able to set up her teammates.

“I definitely love scoring, but I also love getting an assist,” Hart said. “I think a goal is a goal, but I think an assist can be just as beautiful if its perfectly played.”

But she wasn’t always able to be a distributor in the midfield. Hart suffered an torn ACL and meniscus injury that forced her not only to miss all of her sophomore season, but rediscover herself outside of the game.

“It brought a new passion where I don’t just want to be the best athlete, I want to be the best friend,” Hart said. “I want to be the best person on the team to build an environment.”
