Teenager who drowned in Spokane River was Yasuhara Middle School student [Video]

SPOKANE, Wash. – The child who drowned in the Spokane River on Wednesday night was a Yasuhara Middle School student.

In a letter sent to parents, the school’s administrative team expressed their sadness at the loss and said that additional counselors were at the school on Thursday to help students talk through it.

“We will always be here to support you and your students. Please let us know if you have any additional needs,” the administrative team said.

It is not clear whether the other three minors who also jumped in with the drowning victim were also Yasuhara students.
