Two people pulled from canal following Metairie car crash [Video]

METAIRIE, La. (WVUE) – Two individuals were rescued from a car that crashed into a canal in Metairie.

The incident occurred on West Esplanade near Cleary Ave.

One of the rescued persons was transported to East Jefferson Hospital, according to Jefferson Parish Councilwoman Jennifer Van Vrancken.

Authorities have not confirmed whether there were additional passengers in the car.
