WCPL to host monthly Memory Cafe, Proactive Aging Series at Lisa Rice Branch [Video]

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – A memory cafe is a place that allows individuals with memory loss, dementia, Alzheimer’s, or any other brain disorder to be in a safe and welcoming environment.

They are also designed to include the caregiver as well. The Warren County Public Library hosts their memory cafes on the first Tuesday of each month.

“I think one of the most important things about public libraries is their ability to pull like-minded people together around a specific topic, and perhaps a shared experience,” said Executive Program Manager, Laura Beth Fox-Ezell. “This is an opportunity for folks with maybe a shared experience to come together and just seek encouragement from one another.”

This month, along with its monthly memory cafe, the library will host a three-part series for family members and caregivers, titled Proactive Aging Series with Timesavers Caregiving.
